Youth & Cultural Association
KIRSEHIR ARGE were founded by public deed in 1997.
Youth association KIRSEHIR ARGE
There are about 30 members in our association, aged from 16
to 62 and all of us believe that young people can be the change in the world.
That is why we think it is important to meet with youngsters from other
countries and cultures and start building a common world of peace and
understanding.
The association started with its formal work in April 2001
and since then we have organized and taken part in different youth exchanges
around

Our organization is cooperating with KIRÇED an international
organization which is trying to promote peace and tolerance among young people.
We have writen together the 'Cradle of civilizations- Anatolia' –
The main objective of the
Foundation is:
- organize seminars, training courses, youth
exchanges and other international activities for workers and young people
involved in youth fields, and in particular area of social exclusion.
AIMS
1.
To promote
and develop training and exchanges of young people, youth leaders and
youth/social workers and project officers at European level;
2.
To improve
the situation of young people fro excluded backgrounds by getting the
attention of the public and the decision makers about the problems;
3.
To remote
research on questions of social discrimination and marginalization in
4.
To call
for political action in order to fight against and prevent discrimination
and exclusion at local, regional and European level;
5.
To
inform young people of their rights;
6.
To present
realities and give support to young people initiatives towards local, national
and European institution.
KIRSEHIR ARGE also supports international activities of
other organizations by:

KIRSEHIR Arge
Executes deeds of a philanthropic
nature associated with the restoration and preservation of
KIRSEHIR ARGE. Fusion
mission is to improve the social competencies of children, teen-agers and youth
of our communities.
We have 3 main
objectives:
1) To facilitate
the access to useful information for personal development of the target group;
2) To encourage the
youth getting involved in social, cultural and artistically activities
3) Stimulating the
pro-social attitudes of the target group.(children, teenagers,
youth).

Some of our activities are:
1.
direct
and play forum theatre pieces for different beneficiaries( kids, adolescents,
youngsters, adult, people in risk of social exclusion)
2.
concerts
for youth music bands in the community
3. photo exhibitions for youth with potential
talent
4.
we
offer the possibility to youngsters to play an instrument( drums, guitar), to
write screenplays, to perform in public, to discover themselves etc.

Aims as they appear in our
Constitution
Our approach to empowering young people draws on
a successful model in which high school and college students train other youth,
organizations, and adults about workplace health and safety. The Peer Educators
lead workshops and plan events to promote awareness and prevention of injuries
and illnesses at work as well as being a source for important information and
resources. This Peer Education approach builds leadership, effective public
speaking, project planning skills, and a sense of responsibility toward actively
improving health and safety of all workers.

Fundamental principles and values…

promoting transnational cooperation
and exchanges between schools and teacher training establishments;

encouraging innovation in
pedagogical methods and materials;

Our objectives…
1.
to
help civil organizations improve their work through specific studies and
actions designed to fill in their gaps in information, material means and
assertiveness,
2.
to
develop a civil society map and database, establish communication networks,
support efforts to create national NGO platforms and to encourage all
forms of exchange of information and experience among NGOs,
3.
to
publicize the activities of civil organizations by using the mass media and to
conduct lobby activities so as to encourage initiative taking in social sphere
and build further awareness,
4.
to
help NGOs improve their organizational, institutional, managerial, financial
and legal bases as well communication and human resources capacity by
encouraging their participation to decision making processes, communication
with the public at large, involvement in international cooperation and
networks for communication and information exchange,
5.
to
engage in cooperation with international organizations pursuing similar ends
and join networks that may contribute to its functions,
6.
develop methods to
ensure the efficient, fair and principled use of support extended to NGOs.
Our priorities…

building and strengthening ,

supporting
existing networks to build capacity in targeted NGOs, consolidate
intra-organizational democracy and to ensure that NGOs engage in communication
and cooperation, both within the country and abroad, among themselves as well
as with the State and Local governments,
3.
Giving
support particularly to those initiatives which have capacity to be recognised
as best practice or potential to make any successful initiative sustainable.
In terms of identities, the STGM,
absolutely avoids any form of discrimination based on ethnicity, age, sex,
religion, sexual orientation, economic status, political view, philosophical
inclination or religious faith.
In terms of technical priorities, the STGM,
accords priority to projects which are sustainable and have multiplier effect;
well focused to desired objectives; capable of responding to research and
development needs through capacity analysis and having their local components
as well.
Our methods…

all methods which are perfectly legal and which comply with its stance,
objectives and fundamental principles,

considers
the development of strategy and tactics as well as action plans essential as an
established methodological preference to translate its perspectives into life,

measurable indicators in following up projects and evaluating their outcomes
and impact,

follows planning
processes based on participation and joint decision making in identifying needs
and methods of implementation.
